Hey hey hey! Get ready for some fun! We are gearing up to host our second semi-annual $10 Art Lesson Day. Sign up to try out an art lesson here at art/work/place. All the proceeds will be donated to Kidspace Children's Museum in Pasadena. What a day it will be! It's sure to fill up, so call to register today. With some help from our friends at the library, we are holding a bookmark competition for artists ages 13-19. More can be read about it here. The four winning designs will be professionally printed and made available for everyone at the library. The winning artists will also receive four free art classes from us here at the studio, to fine tune their talents :)
We are pleased to announce our 1st annual Fall Student Show, to be held at Cookies & Cream on Fair Oaks Ave. for the month of November. There will be an opening reception with the artists on Saturday, October 25th from 6-8pm. Join us for yummy treats and view the work of all our talented students. Can't wait to see you there!
So this weekend, Saturday to be exact, we are going to be having an amazing party, all on account of the amazing South Pasadena Arts Crawl! If you haven't been to an Arts Crawl before, this Saturday is the perfect time to start. All of South Pasadena's most creative businesses will be open and showing off a little something special. As for us here at art/work/place, we're hosting a Chalk Art Celebration that we want you to be a part of!
Come by to try your hand at chalk art alongside local artists, grab a slice of pizza and check out the studio's latest student work!
May 24th we helped Mackenzie to celebrate her 6th birthday here at the studio! She and her closest buds came in and created some beautiful acrylic paintings on canvas. The girls had a great time and so did we!
What an awesome way to spend a Saturday! We had a great turnout here for the Eclectic Music Festival and Art Walk. Creativity was flowing as we listened to tunes provided by the talented staff at Green Brooms Music Academy. The Art and Music Mural was a huge success. We were blown away by the talent that stopped by to contribute. Way to go, South Pasadena!
